The Elements of Journalism

I came across an article that viewed the comparisons and contrasts of two novels that were, of course, about Journalism. The article was written by Don Heider in the Spring of 2002( when people write like that, "In the Spring of..."I always think its going to be filled with big words, at least i know these words). He viewed "The Elements of Journalism: What Newspeople Should know and the Public Expect by Bill Kovach and Tom Rosenstiel. These were two journalist who had experienced how it really is in this industry, Heider did his research, i believe, because he had facts and quotes from the novel from word to word. He made me very intrigued and I wanted to read more. The other Novel is by Jay Rosens and it is called, "what are Journalists for? Now I was offended by this title, what do you mean "what are journalists for? oh come off of it! But then I came to realize that in the article he wasnt trying to humiliate journalism but use the symblocism of it all: that Journalism has become meaningless not the field itself.
