Reflections.

So...I forgot to Post some blogs up, yeah well just one, but letting that one slip is so not okay. I mean, not only is this a blogging web site, but its also an assignment. And for me to slip up at this moment is not okay. I, well there were more than just one. my previous reflection was a late post. I just write the post and leave them in my inbox until they get full, then I Post them. I'm such a procrastinated person. I mean, I get the job done, but forget to post them. People make mistakes. So for all those who are reading my blog, I'm very sorry for the late arrivals. and Note: there are still more blogs to be posted. I have another reflections piece and a blog a on a California shooting. Oh, last year I met a photographer that works for the Seattle Times. His name is John Lok and I thought it was appropriate for me to write a blog about him. He takes amazing pictures, he even photographed famous photographer, Anie Leibovitz. Who has photographed Angelina Jolie and aslo Demi Moore in the famous Vanity Fair magazine. Her work is well known and I think it was great of John Lok to have the privilege of meeting her.

More In Dept with Steve Weinberg

This man (Steve Weinberg) is actually very credible. I applaud him of his work. I guess I shouldnt base a man upon his misunderstanding article. Steve Weinberg had an article written about him by many local Missouri newspapers. Although I can only find a quote from them, it was enough to base my blog upon. Steve is a former executive director of Investigative reporters and editors. He is now a teacher at the Missouri School of Journalism. He is also an author of eight nonfiction books. Steve describes his novels as the "Moby Dick" of journalism novels. So Steve, you are the Mark Twain of Journalism novels I presume? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I just so happen to agree with somewhat of your remarks. Congradulations Steve Weinberg on your accomplishments and may you be blessed with more to come.

Steve Weinberg

As I research for many articles, I come across an article that I believe has everything to do with our societies view on journalism. In quote, Steve Weinberg executes his views on journalism compared to novelists. He says, " What I call journalism novels- those with journalists as the protagonists- gets snatched up by pleasure readers across the nation." His other point in which I believe was not to generalized journalism portrayal amongs novelist, but to give his views as a renoun opinionist. He says, " They show up in book stores, airport shops, libraries, and at online book retailers. They can be found in the "mystery fiction" and "romance fiction" sections, the serious literature section." I dont believe he is an antagonist. I believe that thats how I first felt mainly intimidation, but as I read further he is actually poking fun at the Novelist portrayel of journalism. And to that I believe he is correct.

Reflections

Your going to see a lot of these "Reflection" Blogs because I personally love reflecting back (even though this is the very first reflection). Looking back on my first blog I can say that my first blog was the shortest of the rest. I mean, It had a couple of sentences and that was it. I know the blog itself was an amazing piece (I think everything I do is amazing, not being a narcissist or anything). I just believe that I wrote it that way because it was my very first blog and it was as you can say my "breakthrough" as a journalist. And I am very okay with that. I find the other blogs being very on point with the Journalism society today whether local or articles wise. Either or they were to me, great pieces. I still havent gotten any followers. I know I am alive so I dont know why I havent had any comments or at least views of my site. Its still to come I guess.

White Center Blog

When I checked out this blog, the 1st thing I see is the banner of numerous areas of White center. I love it! I also see how organized the blog site is with the advertisement all on the right side. Its not simplistic yet not too out there. I have become very fond of the West Seattle Blog Site, so when I was looking up the white Center blog site, I was takinen back because here I am in favor of one site and to see another that has the same local view was to me, nice. I gained to like both at the end and there is no compare nor contrast other than the fact that they are blogging sites created by people who love to write as much as I do. I hope that one day I will gain the same kind of read feeds as they do considering that I have no followers at this moment. Not even my own teacher, no offense Ms. M ( you know, liability and such).
I hope that I would get followers soon, I have been twitting and myspacing others. Lets not forget Facebook!

West Seattle Bog Part 2

I wrote Part Two because I am speaking about the West Seattle Blog again. I like keeping track by numbering all my blogs that are written of course, about the same topic. So I recently shot an e-mail to Tracy Record about possibly interviewing her and Patrick Sand, unless they would prefer it seperately. And I was pretty darn excited. I mean, my very first interview, I am so excited; wait I just said. Right now all I can think of is what to wear? What questions to ask? What responses are best fitted within our conversations? What to say as side talk? I am over thinking everything. But I think thats the rush I would feel when this truly becomes my career. And I am happy with it. I believe that I will gain so much from their knowledge. I know right now, everyone labels the journalism field as a "pratical choice" which I believe shouldnt put us down. we are great people who love to write and that comment does not, I believe effect us in any way. Before I go into a long threshold about this comment, I would like to go back to why I was writing this blog. I am getting excited so soon eventhough I havent gotten a response. Tracy Record, if you are reading this, PLEASE RESPOND. Thank you.

West Seattle Blog Site

I read this blog site, right now they are( Patrick Sand and Tracy Record are the "they") are writing about the whole Susan Hutchison and Dow Constantine election. This site is an inspiration for me as an upcoming journalist because both Patrick and Tracy both worked within this industry. I mean in major companies, Walt Disney, KOMO 4( okay KOMO4 is local, but hey its major to me). She has also worked for ABCNews. She's pretty amazing. I am Pro- Women Empowerment. However, she does have an other half who is just as much amazing as she is. Patrick Sand is the Co-publisher of West Seattle blog( Obviously Tracy is the other Co-publisher). Patrick worked as an announcer on a radio station. Shortly after that he worked within the advertising industry. Before I start sounding like their crazy stalker fan, I would like to applaud them for accomplishing so much and also choosing West Seattle to start what I see now a well blogging website. I hope one day I could blog about how our interview went, because I see in the near future myself interviewing both Patrick and Tracy.
